EA SPORTS’ brand new F1® 25, an official video game of the 2025 FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™, has today launched worldwide, featuring scenes from F1® The Movie and a host of new and enhanced gameplay features.
Fans of the sport and beyond will get up close to the movie event of the year as EA SPORTS has integrated fictional Formula 1 team, APXGP, from the highly anticipated F1® The Movie into F1®
25 Players who purchase the F1® 25 Iconic Edition will have the opportunity to take on the role of APXGP drivers, Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce, and play out scenarios from the film following its release on June 25.
Fan-favourite story mode ‘Braking Point’ will also return to F1® 25, giving players the opportunity to write the next chapter at fictional team, Konnersport, last seen in F1® 23. This year, fans can play out multiple perspectives of the narrative, as Konnersport looks to achieve championship glory, and continue the legacy of the team beyond ‘Braking Point’ through using the Konnersport team in other game modes.
Realism in F1® 25 has been further enhanced, as five more circuits on the Formula 1 calendar – Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola – have been digitally scanned using innovative Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology across a race weekend, providing pinpoint accuracy of the tracks and their surroundings, from the asphalt surface to the height of the kerbs. These five venues follow Silverstone which debuted the technology last year in F1® 24.
F1® 25 also brings players a step closer to the real-world following a series of innovations that have been introduced to the game. ‘My Team 2.0’ provides players with a revamped version of the popular game mode, which gives fans full control of key decisions on and off the track as team owner, as well as managing the fate of both drivers by having the option of switching between the two across the race weekend.
Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton stars on the front cover of the F1® 25 Iconic Edition, with players who purchase this edition receiving perks linked to the seven-time world champion, including helmets, decals and gloves, as well as F3 Driver Icons Pack, 18,000 Pitcoin and much more. The F1® 25 standard edition cover features Haas rookie, Oliver Bearman, McLaren driver, Oscar Piastri, and new Williams driver, Carlos Sainz, with players having the option to purchase the F1® The Movie chapter scenarios downloadable content pack, and upgrade to receive all of the Iconic Edition content.
